Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from our servers. This action cannot be undone. Please read the information below carefully before proceeding.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Data That Will Be Deleted
- Account Information: Your email, name, and profile data
- Encryption Metadata: All encryption keys and access controls for UNII files you've protected
- Subscription: Your UNII Control subscription (manage via app store)
- UNII File Entries: All records of protected UNII files
Consequences of Deletion
- Shared UNII Files: Anyone who has received UNII files from you will no longer be able to open them, even with the correct password
- Received UNII Files: You will lose access to any UNII files shared with you that require our service for decryption
- Subscription: Cancel your UNII Control subscription via the app store before deleting your account
- No Recovery: We cannot recover your account or data after deletion
Data Retention Note
While most data is deleted immediately, some information may be retained for up to 30 days in our backup systems. Transaction records may be kept for up to 10 years for legal and accounting purposes.
How to Delete Your Account
To delete your account, please send us an email request:
- Send an email to support@unii.in
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days
- You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete
Identity Verification
For email deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity by sending the request from the email address associated with your account or by providing additional verification information.
Before You Delete
Please consider the following before deleting your account:
- Inform recipients: Let people know if they have UNII files from you that will become inaccessible
- Cancel subscription: Cancel UNII Control via the app store before deleting
- Alternative options: If you're having issues with the app, consider contacting support first
